About Pale September

Welcome to Pale September, a small web design studio specializing in creating bespoke inspiring websites for the small organization.

Pale September is owned and operated by me, Lisa Scott and is based in Colchester, north Essex, England.

I have come to web design later in life. Previously I spent 17 years as an accountant where sadly, my only creative outlet was designing the labels for my lever arch files. However I did gain extensive experience of paying meticulous attention to detail, budget management, working within a project team and to tight deadlines.

I built my first website as a means of publishing my family tree on the net using books borrowed from the local library. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the fusion of creative and technical processes, encompassing my love of both computers and design. Knowing this could be the beginning of an exciting new direction for me, I decided to take a more professional approach to web coding and took and passed with a distinction an online web design course.

Other interests and hobbies include keeping rare breed bantams, photography, gardening and genealogy.
